Billing & Plans
This article covers FigureOut's billing architecture, plan structure, subscription renewal logic, payment gateway integration, and the process for plan upgrades, downgrades, and account cancellation.

2. Payment Gateway & Supported Payment Methods
FigureOut uses Razorpay as its payment processing partner for all subscription billing transactions. Supported payment instruments include:
- UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM)
- Net Banking (all major Indian banks)
- Debit Cards & Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay)
- EMI (available on select cards above ₹5,000)
FigureOut does not store your payment card details. All card and UPI processing is handled exclusively within Razorpay's PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant gateway.
3. Subscription Renewal Logic
Subscriptions are renewed monthly on the anniversary of the original activation date. An invoice is generated 3 days before renewal. Failed payment attempts trigger a 3-day retry cycle. If payment is not recovered within the retry window, the account status is set to expired (redirecting to the billing setup screen to select a new subscription period), and premium features are frozen for 30 days to allow recovery.
4. Upgrading or Downgrading Plans
Navigate to Settings → Billing in your dashboard.
Click Change Plan and select your desired new plan tier.
Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
Pro-rata credits: When upgrading mid-cycle, FigureOut calculates the remaining days on your current plan and applies a pro-rata credit toward the new plan cost.
5. Account Cancellation & Refund Policy
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings → Billing panel. Cancellation stops future billing immediately. The current month's subscription payment is non-refundable as per our billing terms.
Your workspace data is retained for 30 days after cancellation to allow for reactivation. After 30 days, a full data deletion sweep is initiated.
