“The place is charming and I quite like the outdoor seating although the table for 4 was too small. Though, it seems my mother by her own admission asked for a smaller table than they offered so I can't blame the café for this. 😅 However, there were a few disappointments. It was pretty warm and the fans weren't really reaching our table, food was a bit slow to get to table (but maybe they are just that busy so no stars off for that), and for some strange reason our server portioned food very oddly with one person getting a huge amount of food and another a significantly smaller portion on one dish. The two other people in our party got a reasonable split. Food was good but I found the service lacking.”
“One of the best rated cafe in Kolkata no doubt. Awesome food and coffee”
“A 100-Year-Old Oasis in the Heart of South Kolkata Roastery Coffee House at the South Calcutta Club is a masterclass in blending heritage with a modern, high-end café experience. Located in a stunning 100-year-old colonial property near Hindustan Park, the atmosphere hits you the moment you step off the busy Gariahat streets into this greenery-filled sanctuary. * The Ambience: The high ceilings and spacious courtyard give it an airy, sophisticated feel that is rare to find. Whether you’re looking for a quiet corner to work or a lively spot for a weekend hangout, the layout accommodates both perfectly. It’s artistic, youthful, and feels premium without being pretentious. The Brew & Bite: * Coffee: While the Cranberry Coffee is the famous go-to, don’t sleep on their Vietnamese Iced Coffee or the Cold Brew. They take their specialty beans seriously here. * Food: The wood-fired pizzas and tiramisu are exceptional. The menu is consistent with the Roastery franchise’s high standards—gourmet comfort at its best. * Service & Experience: The staff are notably polite and professional. Even during peak evening hours when the crowd builds up, the café remains organized and clean. Note that during busy weekends, you might wait 15–20 minutes for your order, but the historic surroundings make the wait feel like part of the charm. Pro-Tip: Arrive early to snag a prime spot in the courtyard. It’s easily one of the most Instagrammable and relaxing spots in Kolkata.”
