“Visited this place with my family for breakfast and had a mixed experience. To begin with, the food was quite good. The egg dishes we ordered were well-prepared, fresh, and flavorful. The overall ambience of the café was pleasant, and the service initially seemed attentive. However, the entire experience was overshadowed by one major issue – a pancake ordered for the kids. What should have been a simple breakfast item took nearly an hour to arrive. The excessive delay left all of us frustrated and completely changed our impression of the visit. By the time the pancake finally arrived, we had almost forgotten about the good food and enjoyable moments we had experienced earlier. The staff did offer a complimentary banana cake as a gesture of apology, which was appreciated, but unfortunately it did little to make up for the inconvenience caused. The delay disrupted our entire schedule and made us late for several appointments and commitments at home and the office. Another disappointing aspect was the service charge added to the bill. The staff did mention that it could be removed if we wished, but by that point we were so frustrated and eager to leave that we didn’t want to wait any longer for the bill to be reprinted. As a result, we paid the full amount, including the service charge. Roastery has good food and potential, but waiting nearly an hour for a single pancake significantly affected our experience. Better coordination in the kitchen and faster service would go a long way in ensuring that customers leave with memories of the food rather than frustration over avoidable delays.”

“One of the best cafes in Lucknow for its ambience! Located in the beautiful Jahangirabad Palace, it has a unique old charm and vintage feel that makes the experience special. However, the food and drinks didn’t impress me as much. The coffee and shakes were okay, but the cheese garlic bread was extremely salty, and the fries were quite average. A must-visit for the ambience and heritage vibe, but the food definitely needs some improvement.”
